18 months Lidar Instrumentation Development Engineer position available at ONERA (Palaiseau site)

The Optics and Associated Techniques Department of ONERA, Palaiseau site, is looking for 18 months, a doctor or engineer with strong specialization in optics, laser, to be involved mainly in new projects relating to the development of Rayleigh and Raman UV lidars for aeronautical and environmental applications. The person recruited will be involved in two related activities, one related to the aeronautics sector for autonomous aircraft and the other to the energy sector for securing installations.

From Quantum to Cosmos-7: NASA 2022 Fundamental Physics Experiments in Space Workshop: Mar 29-31, 2022

NASA’s From Quantum to Cosmos-7 Workshop will be held in person Mar 29-31, 2022, at the Watergate Hotel, 2650 Virginia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20037, USA. This will continue the tradition of Q2C workshops started in 2006.

The Atomic Devices and Instrumentation Group at NIST currently has openings for one or more post-doctoral research associates with a background in atomic physics, laser science or photonics. Projects include MEMS alkali cell fabrication, atomic magnetometry, high-performance compact clocks, atom interferometers and other compact and chip-scale instruments.
